Associate Trainer

David Pearce

What is my experience?

I worked on the front line of financial services for nearly 40 years accumulating experience in financial management, leadership and change. Dealing with both the public, colleagues and wider partners e.g. Central Government,  I developed skills in both people management and leadership as well as the practical financial skills for lending.  I became an accredited trainer within the Bank’s training department over 30 years ago and have used the skills to develop staff on a range of subjects including both technical and behavioural management sessions. My interest in all matters ‘financial’, meant I recently undertook a qualification in accountancy – AAT, which means I also have a thorough understanding of all the financial aspects of running a business – not just looking at accounts from a lending perspective.

What is my area of expertise?

My area of expertise is unravelling the mysteries of financial and performance information to help businesses move forward. Having been involved in the financial world for many years, together with my recent qualification as an AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians), means I can work with individuals, teams and businesses on presenting and interpreting financial information to help them understand, use and develop systems for their businesses. The use of practical examples, designed to suit the experience of delegates, means everyone in the business takes away new knowledge and skills for what many see as ‘the mystery of accounts’.

I love inspiring others?

My passion is people - without them being inspired to work as effectively as possible, the business cannot develop and move forward. I find it incredibly rewarding to see an individual or team hit their stride uninhibited by anxiety or doubt. I consider it a job well done when they no longer are amazed at what they can achieve.
