Why book this course?

Nobody is born a leader. Managing people is a learning process, and one which may come with its fair share of pitfalls. Sometimes, you may not be given the time or space to capitalise on your mistakes, and turn your weaknesses into strengths. Other times, you may simply hit a brick wall in your development, and not see a way forward to greater success.

Our Management Development Programme combines broad lessons with a personal, incisive approach. Starting with your own personal development, we'll hone in on your unique attributes, and make sure that you can manage yourself before you manage others. You'll then learn the finer points of motivation and delegation, and how to execute on your plans and objectives.

Who is the course for?

Designed for middle and experienced managers looking to expand their confidence, knowledge and skills base, this course leads you through three days of intensive training and theory, preparing you to apply what you've learned to the workplace.

After 12 weeks, you'll be invited back for a one-day catch-up session, where you can share what you've achieved, what has and hasn't worked, and the areas in which you need further support and guidance. All of this will be led by our experienced trainers, with an emphasis on your personal development and the lessons that are relevant to you.

What will I get out of the training?

This programme covers 12 fundamental leadership and management skills, and will feature practical exercises and ideas that can immediately be put into use. The follow-up day will provide further specificity and context to these lessons, and allow you to further embed the learning, skills and techniques learnt from the initial 3-day Management Programme on your return to the workplace.

As well as developing your skills base, the course is a perfect opportunity for you to work and discuss concerns and experiences with like-minded managers from a variety of sectors and industries. Receiving constructive feedback from our trainers and your peers, you’ll benefit from learning together, as well as sharing feedback on your follow-up day.

Nick Corbo

What is my experience?

I have over 15 years training experience including both design & delivery for a whole range of audiences, from contact centre colleagues through to first line managers, senior managers, directors and even cruise ship captains! I also have over 20 years experience of leading operational teams. My experience in business coupled with completion of an MBA has enabled me to support a variety of strategic projects including mergers, business process reviews and business relocations.

What is my area of expertise?

Management & leadership development is a huge passion of mine and an area of particular expertise. My love of coaching has led to me becoming a qualified executive coach, where I particularly enjoy the challenges of working with teams. I have a keen interest in neuroscience and psychology, what makes people do what they do is just so fascinating. I’m currently combining many of my passions in a research project on building psychological safety in teams.

Why I love inspiring others?

I love helping others grow and develop. There is nothing more fulfilling than seeing people overcome their own negative self-talk and allow their potential to come through.
