In 2006 I launched my own Training and Business Consultancy, allowing me to incorporate my knowledge of Business Management with Training. My focus since then has been on developing and delivering bespoke Personal Development and Management training courses for not only SME’s but right through to large corporations and public sector.

What is my experience?

I’ve worked extensively across both the Private and Public sectors. My experience has given me valuable insight into different strategic and operational approaches, business models and attitudes to both training and coaching which I have used to be able to adapt to different environments and requirements of organisations. My lifelong interest in developing people, led to a qualification in executive coaching and mentoring and this, coupled with my own ‘hands-on’ experience in the business world has allowed me to work with a whole range of organisations to develop both their individuals, teams and businesses to improve and adapt to change and challenges.

What is my area of expertise?

As a trainer and coach, I work with both individuals and groups of people on areas to develop themselves and their businesses qualitatively.  Process and performance management, managing change and remote leadership are key areas of expertise.  All these are linked by the use of both practical and psychological models, for delegates to take back and use in their workplace to ensure that the investment in training really benefits them and their business going forward.

Why I love inspiring others?

I believe that anyone, with a little support, can be the very best version of themselves that they want to be.  The blend of training and coaching gives me the amazing opportunity to witness people developing and growing into that best version of themselves – and there is no greater ‘buzz’ than that.

Jo Battershill

What is my experience?

I started business life within the hospitality industry in Canada holding various managerial positions which has given me great experience of successfully working with multi-cultural teams.  On returning to England I was employed within the pharmaceutical industry and then I returned to university to develop my training and development skills.  In 1995 I set up my own Learning and Development business attracting both private and public clientele.  Running my own company has developed further directorial business skills.  Through volunteering as a non executive director for a leisure company I have expanded my knowledge of influence and persuasion at board level.

What is my area of expertise?

Communication is a key area of expertise that I am continuously learning to refine, and which, I believe, is the bedrock of effective management.  Building positive  relationships are what successful business and great management is all about.   The ability to be assertive, influence and persuade are all essential skills for life and work; hence my training interventions take a coaching and facilitative approach in order to address individual needs.

Why I love inspiring others?

I believe that every individual has the potential to be whatever they want to be; I am passionate about unlocking this potential.  I find facilitating training interventions really challenging and rewarding.

Why I love inspiring others?

I love developing skills, knowledge and practice within learners.  I know from first-hand experience over many years how difficult it is in the modern world to keep up to date with rapid changes in legislation, working practice, service quality and inspection frameworks.  I love being able to take topics, subjects and concepts which both individuals and companies can sometimes find quite abstract and ephemeral and translating these into concrete requirements, followed by developing knowledge, skills and understanding in individual practitioners, teams and management; enabling them to not only understand what their requirements are, but also to train or provide supportive consultancy to those individuals and teams to meet or indeed exceed their expectations, and those of business owners, funders, commissioners or inspectorates.

Associate Trainer

Leanne Davies

What is my experience?

As a qualified Trainer, Facilitator and Coach, I have spent my career in the UK and abroad, working across a range of industry sectors and different cultures.  I guide and support leaders, teams and individuals to create a culture of learning, in which they, and therefore their organisation, can achieve more.

What is my area of expertise?

I help others to design and deliver effective training courses, presentations and meetings that are thought-provoking, engaging and interactive.  People leave my courses with new skills and tools that they can use confidently back in the workplace.

Why I love inspiring others?

When a person feels inspired they have a “can do” attitude towards overcoming challenges and achieving their goals.  This empowers them to take the necessary steps to thrive in their roles and relationships.  It is rewarding to play a role in that person’s learning journey.

Lucy Britton

What is my experience?

A highly skilled learning and development professional, I have over 30 years experience delivering programmes across a broad spectrum of organisations. I am passionate about the power of training - to inspire learners to make constructive changes to their skills and behaviours, and through this enable business ambitions.

I have specialised in designing management programmes that challenge learners to be the best they can be. Pragmatic by nature, I relate management theories and principles to their own working lives and offer a clear, defined path to becoming successful managers.   I have rolled out these programmes across manufacturing, universities, NHS and utilities.

Customer Service can be challenging, and I have a wealth of experience working with people in front line roles, giving them the tools and confidence to handle difficult situations with ownership and empathy.

What is my area of expertise?

  • Management development – building the basics, for new or ‘want-to-be’ managers. Establishing the best foundations and tactics to manage people and their performance with both high expectations and the integrity that encourages trust. For more experienced managers, top-up sessions to re-energise skills and challenge embedded behaviours.
  • Recruitment and selection – attracting and selecting the best fit to your organisation
  • Performance management – encouraging continuous dialogue. Using constructive, behaviour-based feedback to grow potential and self-confidence as well as tackle poor behaviours early.  Coaching as a key tool.
  • Team development (including Belbin Team Roles)
  • Customer Service – engaging, inspiring and fun, targeting the scenarios clients face to give people practical tools that will work for them, even in difficult situations

Why I love inspiring others?

I have a strong desire to make a difference, and if people leave my workshops thinking differently, behaving differently and determined to make a difference in their workplaces I get enormous pleasure.  I put all my knowledge and experience into creating bespoke programmes that will inspire learners to long-lasting change.  Learners respond when you try to put a smile on their face, so I make learning fun but stretching.

Associate Trainer

David Pearce

What is my experience?

I worked on the front line of financial services for nearly 40 years accumulating experience in financial management, leadership and change. Dealing with both the public, colleagues and wider partners e.g. Central Government,  I developed skills in both people management and leadership as well as the practical financial skills for lending.  I became an accredited trainer within the Bank’s training department over 30 years ago and have used the skills to develop staff on a range of subjects including both technical and behavioural management sessions. My interest in all matters ‘financial’, meant I recently undertook a qualification in accountancy – AAT, which means I also have a thorough understanding of all the financial aspects of running a business – not just looking at accounts from a lending perspective.

What is my area of expertise?

My area of expertise is unravelling the mysteries of financial and performance information to help businesses move forward. Having been involved in the financial world for many years, together with my recent qualification as an AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians), means I can work with individuals, teams and businesses on presenting and interpreting financial information to help them understand, use and develop systems for their businesses. The use of practical examples, designed to suit the experience of delegates, means everyone in the business takes away new knowledge and skills for what many see as ‘the mystery of accounts’.

I love inspiring others?

My passion is people - without them being inspired to work as effectively as possible, the business cannot develop and move forward. I find it incredibly rewarding to see an individual or team hit their stride uninhibited by anxiety or doubt. I consider it a job well done when they no longer are amazed at what they can achieve.
