Coaches and mentors must develop a light touch, providing guidance and support without lecturing or overstepping their mark.

Our Coaching and Mentoring for Managers course is for managers who wish to develop their coaching or mentoring skills at any level within an organisation. It aims to give participants a clear insight and understanding into the dynamics of mentorship, and how to develop skills and confidence while maintaining personal boundaries.

Who is the course for?

This course is ideal for line managers who want to improve their coaching and mentorship skills, getting the best out of team members and themselves.

Delegates will learn highly effective coaching and mentoring skills, enabling them to develop and improve team members as well as their own communications skills.

What will I get out of the training?

When either coaching or mentoring, there is always the temptation to provide the solutions to the issue being discussed.  Through this course, we will help you find ways to help and encourage the person to find the solution themselves, improving your ability to listen and provide effective feedback.

What is the duration of this course?

This is a 1-day course. 

The course commences at 9:30am and we aim to finish at approximately 4:30pm.
On all our scheduled courses, lunch is included and refreshments are provided throughout the day.

Who is this accredited by?

This programme is accredited by The Institute of Leadership & Management and aligns to their Associate Membership Grade, which is equivalent to the ILM Level 3 qualification.

On our Scheduled courses you will now be automatically registered to become Members with The Institute for 1-year, providing access to all their brilliant online resources, and you can also use letters after your name (AMInstLM). 

Upon successful completion of this programme, you will also receive a formal certificate from The Institute of Leadership and Management.  

If the course is undertaken in-house, we offer the option of including membership and accreditation. This option is available for an additional fee of £75.00 per person + VAT.

What is my experience?

I have over 25 years training experience including both design & delivery for a range of clients across all industries in both the private and public sectors.  Working with all levels of employees from front line staff to Senior Management Teams and Board Level. This includes a host of experience of Classroom & Experiential (Outdoor) environments and Online training delivery.

 

What is my area of expertise?

Over the years I have gained experience in a wealth of different areas, but consider Leadership Development and Soft Skills training including Presentation Skills and Train the Trainer to be my specific areas of expertise. I have always had a  great interest in understanding personalities and what makes people tick.  As well as an MSc in Forensic Psychology, I am also a NLP Practitioner and Mindfulness Master Practitioner.

I have a passion for life long learning and love to be able to bring that passion to others.  There is nothing better than seeing someone have a light bulb moment that will help them to be more effective and make a difference to their lives.
